The Role

Tasks

-Act as the primary operational liaison between the ROV Remote Operations Centre and offshore vessel teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication. -Monitor ROV system status, telemetry, and live video feeds; coordinate with offshore technicians for real-time diagnostics and issue resolution. -Review and approve mission execution plans, pre-dive virtual checklists, system readiness verifications, and operational reporting documentation. -Oversee the piloting and remote operation of Work-Class and light Work-Class ROV systems including associated tooling and sensors to support the safe and efficient execution of inspection, survey, maintenance, and light intervention scopes. -Ensure operational compliance with project work packs, client specifications, company procedures, and applicable IMCA guidance. -Lead, coordinate, and supervise all ROC ROV activities during assigned shift operations, ensuring safe and effective execution. -Manage real-time team scheduling, task delegation, and shift handovers within the ROC environment.

What You Bring

-Communication & Coordination: excellent communication skills across dispersed teams and shift patterns. -Decision-Making & Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to lead under pressure and adapt to dynamic offshore scenarios. -Digital Literacy: Proficient in operational software, remote control systems, digital reporting tools, and data analysis platforms. -Proven track record of piloting and overseeing complex subsea operations such as intervention, tooling deployment, and inspection tasks -Experience with remote piloting platforms, live telemetry feeds, and digital coordination tools -Demonstrated leadership of ROV operations, including shift supervision, task planning, and coordination -A minimum of 5 years ROV experience. -Technical Qualification: Diploma or degree in marine, mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering (preferred). -At least 180 days’ operational time as a Senior Pilot/Technician (IMCA R02) -OPITO approved BOSIET with CA-EBS, MIST (for UKCS only) and OEUK Medical (including Bi-Deltoid shoulder measurements. -IMCA ROV Supervisor logbook with verifiable entries evidencing supervisory responsibilities and digital operations exposure -Technical Proficiency: High level of competence in ROV systems, subsea tooling, fault-finding, and inspection methodology. -Competence: IMCA-recognised Competence Certificate or Portfolio for ROV Supervisor (R01).
