Tasks

-Collaborate with civil, electrical, mechanical, structural, design, and planning professionals on multidisciplinary projects -Observe construction operations to ensure design intent, quality standards, and safety protocols are met -Communicate effectively with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders throughout all phases of the project -Assist in the design of roadway and utility infrastructure across the Twin Cities metro and greater Minnesota -Develop construction documents, plans, and specifications using industry-standard tools and practices -Participate in the full project life cycle - from initial concept through construction completion -Conduct site assessments to gather field data and evaluate existing conditions

What You Bring

-Previous experience conducting on-site inspections and construction observations for municipal or transportation projects -Previous experience as a member of a multi-disciplined project team -Previous exposure or interest in Municipal / Utility or Transportation Engineering -Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering -1 to 5 years of experience developing construction documentation for roadway design, utility, grading and drainage, and stormwater management projects -Engineer In Training Certification or interest in attaining within 6 months of start date -Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) -Strong interpersonal skills and ability to apply effective verbal and written communication skills when writing specifications and reports, participating in project team discussions, and interacting with clients and contractors.
