Tasks

-Assist with routine engineering functions related to well Mechanical Integrity Tests (MITs), workovers, and salt caverns by gathering data and preparing basic technical inputs. -Assist with routine engineering functions related to Well Workover Operations, well repairs, and well maintenance by reviewing wellbore/wellhead schematics and supporting various engineers/project managers within the department. -Complete required training modules and task-specific learning assignments. -Assist in supporting preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates. -Assist in preparing simple schematics and drawings under supervision. -Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal of developing technical, social, and ethical skills. -Assist in collecting, organizing, and maintaining project documentation and records. -Support project research efforts, help with fieldwork preparation, and assist with preliminary design calculations and basic analyses.

What You Bring

-Must be 18 or older. -Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects. -Actively enrolled in an accredited Masters or PhD program in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later. -Demonstrate responsible and ethical judgment when handling company resources and follow WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies. -Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. -Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience. -Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus. -Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools. -Demonstrated interest in Petroleum Engineering, or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects. -Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, or a related field, with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later. -Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
