Safety Advisor for transmission line and substation construction projects.

Tasks

-Coaching and mentoring of project personnel on safety systems and best practices. -Regularly review onsite practices against the project risk register and management plans. -Actively participate in and drive a culture of collaboration, discipline, innovation, adaptability to change and care. -Assist in site communications i.e. Pre-Start, Toolbox. -Work with the Safety and Training departments to identify and develop training. -Assist in regular risk activity workshops, providing expert and practical input. -Ensure safety and sustainability are always front of mind of all personnel. -Lead by example by promoting a positive work health and safety culture. -Assist in incident investigations. -Conduct inspections, risk activity reviews and observations as per project requirements. Including the coaching and mentoring of inspection processes to project field leadership. -Identify, monitoring and report any emerging risks to project team.

What You Bring

-Ability to positively identify all potential and imminent hazards on a site and be able to address them in a positive and proactive manner with project field leadership. -Post Graduate Degree in Safety or other associated Tertiary degrees i.e. Human Resources, Quality, Environment or Project Management. (Desirable) -ICAM Investigation Qualification. -Cert IV or Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent. (Mandatory) -Safety Lead Auditor Qualification. -Risk Management Training. -Experience as a Safety Practitioner in Transmission Lines, Substations, Civil Earthworks, and high-risk environments is required. -Electrical experience and/or qualifications are highly desirable
