Operate and program robotic welding equipment for manufacturing and additive processes.

Tasks

-Study prints/instructions to review dimensions and tolerances -Optimize laser/robotic welding parameters -Maintain/repair robotic and welding equipment -Operate/observe robots to detect malfunctions or nonconformance -Follow all environmental and health safety rules/regulations -Create robotic welding programs and modify existing ones -Perform MIG welding operations (simple to moderate) -Develop new additive manufacturing procedures -Identify/perform correct robotic welding parameters, procedures, and programs -Apply the basic welding principles, symbols, and blueprints -Assist the team in plant/department goals achievement -Finish the parts with various hand tools -Lift parts up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 25 pounds frequently -Check completed parts to ensure compliance with required standards -Make recommendations on general part designs -Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties on a daily base -Use a measuring tape and variable gauges

What You Bring

-Possess related work experience on robotic welding applications (recommended) -Verbal/written communication skills -Able to maintain work area clean and organized -Operating mechanized or robotic welding equipment experience -Arc additive processes experience -Work both independently and as part of a team -Required frequent stooping, bending, lifting, and reaching -Windows-based operating systems/programs knowledge -Knowledge of basic shop math -Possess proficient computer skills -Blueprints/drawings interpretation skills -Basic knowledge of automated machinery/systems -Perform excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills -Have good judgment/problem-solving skills -Be an analytical thinker with the ability to solve problems -Welding aluminum with the GMAW process experience -Apprenticeship program (advanced) -additive manufacturing software packages experience
