Tasks

You’ll work within the Plant & Equipment division, collaborating closely with crane engineers, logistics teams, and safety officers to ensure seamless crane operations. From planned maintenance to urgent repairs, your input will help keep critical lifting operations on schedule and incident-free. Join ALEC Building and be a driving force behind digital excellence on world-class projects. -Respond to breakdowns and diagnose issues using testing tools and schematics -Rehabilitate and rewire electrical panels, relays, and safety circuits -Conduct routine pre-operation inspections and complete electrical checklists -Track electrical component usage and report shortages to reduce downtime -Replace faulty components including sensors, relays, contactors, breakers, and lighting systems -Assist in installation and dismantling, focusing on safe electrical disconnection and reconnection -Support the operation and testing of safety devices such as LMIs, anti-collision systems, and limit switches -Troubleshoot and repair faults in control panels, wiring, limit switches, and motors -Identify and report required spare parts, assisting in part number verification -Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical systems of tower cranes and hoists

We’re looking for a Tower Crane Technician with a strong electrical background to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe operation of tower cranes and hoists across our project sites in the UAE. In this hands-on role, you’ll be part of the technical team ensuring our lifting equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently—day in and day out. As a Tower Crane Technician, your work will be essential to the operational success and safety of high-rise construction. You’ll be part of a close-knit logistics and plant team, conducting inspections, resolving faults, and supporting electrical systems that drive our lifting operations. -Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics -3–5 years’ experience maintaining electrical systems of tower cranes and hoists -Strong understanding of control systems, VFDs, motor starters, and safety systems -Hands-on experience with major crane brands (Potain, Liebherr, Terex, Zoomlion, etc.) and hoists (Alimak, XMT, etc.) -Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus -Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or related field
