Tasks

-Managing project budget and schedule compliance. -Overseeing the fire protection design of building projects throughout the project lifecycle from the conceptual phase, design phase, and construction phase. -Be responsible for time management and product quality -Building fire alarm systems -Utilize software based calculation tools for design calculations -Follow Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans -Building fire protection systems -Manage multiple assignments concurrently -Be responsible for continuing education and learning based on project needs, as well as overall needs of the team. -Mentor and train technical staff. -Utilizing BIM design software to produce construction drawings -Building fire suppression systems -Interfacing with clients on project design, delivery, and construction.

What You Bring

-Licensed Professional Engineer having passed the Fire Protection examination. -Proven experience overseeing fire protection designs, including detailed plans and specifications for building projects -Must have a knowledge base of fire protection engineering principals related to building fire protection designs -Must have strong communication skills -Must be proficient with MS Office Suite -5-10 years of building design and construction industry experience -Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university or college. -Knowledge of Federal Agencies design criteria -Experience with Autodesk Revit -Experience with AIA MasterSpec -Knowledge of fire protection, suppression, and alarm principles
