Overview
Perform audits and financial reporting for construction & real estate clients, ensure compliance, and train staff.

Tasks
-Proactively build relationships and communicate with clients and associates. -Responsible for testing internal controls, policies, and procedures and making recommendations. -Perform audits under Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) auditing standards, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). -Teach, train, and develop incoming staff/interns. -Identify accounting and audit issues and perform research to solve issues. -Take part in pre-audit planning to assess the risk of material misstatement of financial accounts to design effective audit procedures. -Audit financial statements, quarterly financial information, and clients' annual reports.

What You Bring
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Adaptable to various levels of client complexities of people, processes, and systems. -Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required. Must meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam. -Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively on multiple tasks. -Ability to travel to client sites up to 25%. -CPA certification preferred. Candidates actively pursuing CPA certification will be considered. -Requires 1-3 years of accounting related experience, preferrably in public accounting or within the construction and real estate industry.
