Overview
Lead design and delivery of mission‑critical building projects from concept through construction.

Tasks
-Responsible for small to large projects of high complexity. -Participate in bidding and negotiation phase and prepares addenda. -Lead a team through all phases of architectural document production. -Participate and collaborate in a project team setting through all phases of architectural document production. -Develop floor plans, wall sections, and details. -Participate in client project requirement meetings and value analysis and basic cost estimating. -Assist in the preparation and coordination of specs with construction documents. -Interpret and apply building codes and requirements of other regulatory agencies. -The technical portion of the project including discipline coordination and providing technical direction to the design team. -Participate in constructability review. -Prepare and revise documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, details. -Interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material. -Check work of others for accuracy and completeness -Conduct space planning, block planning and adjacencies in coordination with building program. -Lead the construction administration phase with the design team, including but not limited to reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs, prepares site observation reports, and other contract administration tasks. -Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects.

What You Bring
-Communicate abstract ideas (verbal/written). -AutoCAD, Abobe Creative Suite, Grasshopper./Rhino, and/or Sketchup a plus -Strong understanding of all phases of architectural document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications. -Requisite knowledge and application of accessibility codes, applicable building codes. Also, knowledge of building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry associated standards. -LEED Green Associate or LEED AP a plus -Professional licensure required, California preferred. -Bachelor’s degree in Architecture -Passion for and experience with Mission Critical and similar building types. -Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a broad range of phase experience. -Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. -Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and Revit -Hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively. -Strong Revit skills, familiarity with clash coordination strategies a plus. -Strong knowledge of building construction systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
