Tasks
-Supervise and administer accident prevention, emergency preparedness, activities, and training, while assuring the quality of programs. -Lead safety committee meetings for Operating Companies; either directly or on the safety committee team -Partners with Human Resources for proper documentation requirements and allegiance with state and private safety insurance requirements -Ensure Program Administrator responsibilities are completed including evaluating prospective drivers, maintaining qualified drivers list and qualification records, ensuring company vehicles are maintained mechanically and monitoring the program effectiveness. -Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize hazards -Reinforce with the site supervisory staff required PPE to field employees -Maintain current knowledge of specific government agency requirements -Conduct daily safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards on the construction site, and to formulate new procedures or tools to mitigate injury risk. -Update and deploy the non-CDL, DOT-Regulated Fleet Safety Program manual. -Partner with drivers and Operating Company leadership to review the program, train and monitor. -Screen projects and project sites before work commences, identifying safety-related risks. Attend pre-project safety walks and inspections. -Control hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities through safety management and oversight and with assistance from site supervisory staff. -Develop KPIs to report to senior management on effectiveness of the program. -Monitor to prevent hazards and diseases in the work area. -Review blueprint designs for disposal systems, evacuation plans, lighting, and ventilation to ensure minimum or no danger to the safety or health of the site guests or workers -Investigate accidents or incidents that occur on the construction site and implement preventive measures. -Oversee use of chemicals in relation to management of Safety Data Sheets and ensuring safe use of chemicals -Be the company resource and evaluate progress in achieving objectives of overall EMS & EHS programs. Benchmark KPI’s against other organizations and actively participates in EMS & EHS associations. -Establish, implement, and administer the Environmental Management System (EMS) and EHS programs for enterprise and Operating Companies. Develop and document EHS and EMS policies, procedures, goals, and strategies for all areas. -Create appropriate tools to build an effective safety program including job hazard analysis, accident investigation, return-to-work, inspections and emergency programs -Maintain safety related paperwork, directly or indirectly, including OSHA 300 logs and safety training documentation -Conducts emergency drills to ensure employee readiness for fire or weather emergencies. -Direct company safety program by overseeing employee safety orientation and training programs including safe machinery operations and traffic control

What You Bring
-Valid driver’s license and good DMV record to operate vehicle on company’s behalf -High School Diploma/GED + 6 years of related commercial construction experience. -Recognized as a self-starter and ability to meet deadlines -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. -Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations relating to the specific trade or activity being managed -Good organizational and recordkeeping abilities – the ability to maintain good records of all safety-related activities -Preferred – OSHA 30 Certification, current First Aid/CPR Certification -Preferred experience with Non-CDL, DOT-regulated fleet management -Good listening skills – the ability to listen effectively and receive feedback from the employee perspective without passing judgment -Experience with work zone traffic control, excavation, rigging, fall protection, scaffolding, hazmat, confined space, air quality, personal protection equipment/clothing -Microsoft Office proficient -Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one or group situations with customers and employees. -Experience and Education: AA Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health, or related field + 4 years of related commercial construction experience, or
