Field Engineer - Misc. Airfield

Overview

Oversee contractor compliance, safety, quality, and project coordination for airfield projects.

Tasks

-Support and assist internal stakeholders regarding to onsite project related activities and logistics. -Coordinate service providers for technical inspections of the project contractor's works. -Actively monitor contractor compliance with safety requirements and encourage contractors to perform in a safe manner. -Review all contractor submittials including construction schedules, costs, reports, and changes. -Coordinate activities with other disciplines or areas and technical representatives, as instructed by construction management to ensure program delivery priorities are maintained. -Coordinate data for reports and forecasts, including summaries of construction progress and expenditure forecasts. -Monitor work activities and the quality of work performed by the contractor.

What You Bring

-Prior delivery partner or client-side project management experience is preferred but not essential. -Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved and current knowledge of new methods of design and construction. -Demonstrated experience in the successful management of major projects in the infrastructure and aviation industry. -High level of interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrable delivery of leadership and behavioural change within a large organisation and with outside organizations. -Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience -Ability to influence and engage in a collaborative working environment with internal and external stakeholders while maintaining necessary levels of commercial awareness.
