Tasks

-Ensure consistent application of DEA processes for project accounting, documentation, contracting, and quality control -Serve as principal-in-charge or project manager and lead communication with clients and contractors -Provide mentorship and direction to field and office staff, promoting professional development -Participate in recruiting and retention efforts, with a focus on building and sustaining high-performing teams -Coordinate closely with the Geomatics Group and Delivery Leaders to align staffing and resources -Develop new and maintain existing client relationships using DEA’s marketing and pursuit strategies -Collaborate with other DEA disciplines on integrated project delivery -Oversee quality control of deliverables and data, ensuring standards are consistently met -Manage project proposals, scopes, budgets, and schedules for construction survey work

What You Bring

-Experience working with California surveying labor unions is a plus -Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in California -Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field, or equivalent experience -10 or more years of experience delivering survey projects, including construction work -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Demonstrated ability to manage Caltrans construction survey projects
