The Role
Overview
Conduct field and lab testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, ensuring compliance.

Tasks
-Perform concrete field testing, including slump, air content, unit weight, and making test cylinders. -Record and report test results accurately and promptly. -Collect and prepare soil and material samples for laboratory analysis. -Communicate findings with project managers, engineers, and site personnel. -Perform field testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and other materials according to ASTM, AASHTO, and other industry standards. -Operate and maintain field testing equipment. -Assist in geotechnical drilling and subsurface investigations, if required. -Adhere to safety procedures and company policies while working on-site. -Conduct density testing using nuclear gauge and other soil compaction methods.

What You Bring
-Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record. -Ability to read & write, including interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients -Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, pull, kneel, climb, balance, lift, carry, and push as required for fieldwork and inspections. -Frequent use of hands and arms for typing, handling tools, and operating equipment. -Ability to stand, walk, drive, and operate equipment for extended periods. -Ability to use your senses to see (including close, distant, and peripheral vison, depth vision, and ability to focus) smell, hear, touch (use hands to reach climb or balance, crouch, stoop, crawl, kneel and sit). -Ability to speak and hear effectively to communicate in noisy environments and with project teams. -Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains. -Proficiency in basic computer applications -OSHA 10/30-Hour Certification -Ability to lift and/or carry 35 to 75 lbs. up to 75 feet, involving regular repetitive motion. -Ability to pass a background check screening. -Experience with nuclear density gauge testing (Troxler Certification) -ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I -NICET Level I or II in Construction Materials Testing -Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols. -Excellent organizational and time management skills. -Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
