The Role

Overview

Design and upgrade auxiliary equipment for gas turbines using Siemens NX CAD.

Tasks

-Product Improvement: Implement package upgrades to enhance the overall product lifecycle. -Standardisation: Document solutions that can be applied consistently across projects. Sales Support: Provide technical recommendations to support future upgrades -Documentation: Generate and maintain engineering documentation such as engineering drawings, design calculations, purchase specifications, and technical reports. -Technical Interface: Collaborate with internal departments, regional divisions, suppliers, and customers to ensure project upgrades are driven within allocated budgets and timescales. -BOM Management: Generate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), including part creation in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software. -System Upgrades: Apply the latest systems and technologies to improve the performance and reliability of our gas turbine package auxiliary equipment. -Obsolescence Management: Identify and source replacements for components and systems to maintain equipment functionality.

What You Bring

-Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD. -Software Proficiency: Knowledge of PLM software would be advantageous while experience in MS Office Suite is essential. -Attitude: A proactive and positive attitude, with attention to detail and the ability to think clearly and solve problems effectively. -Qualifications: HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in a related engineering field. Time served may be considered. -Self-Management: Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously and deliver them within set timescales. -Problem-Solving: Capability to fix engineering challenges independently. -Relevant Experience: 10+years of experience in a design and 3D CAD role within an associated or similar industry.
