Siemens
The Role
Overview
Design and integrate Siemens automation solutions for industrial customers.
Key Responsibilities
- integration design
- solution architecture
- protocol selection
- deployment coordination
- compliance assurance
- technical leadership
Tasks
-Designing secure, scalable integrations between legacy and modern systems -Lead the design and integration of Siemens solutions into new and existing (brownfield) customer facilities, collaborating closely with the Field CTO and Product & Field Development (PFD) team to develop comprehensive scopes of work. -Validate solution architectures against customer requirements, regulatory standards, and operational constraints, including security, authentication, and data protection. -Document integration approaches, including architecture diagrams, data flows, communication protocols, and timing (real-time, batch), ensuring clarity for all stakeholders. -Ensuring compliance with data protection, security, and regulatory requirements -Architect solutions that span on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring seamless interoperability between Siemens platforms (WinCC OA, Mendix, Industrial Edge) and customer systems (SAP, Ignition, AVEVA PI Historian, Kepware etc.). -Specify and coordinate the deployment of standard Siemens products and components, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant integration with customer IT/OT infrastructure. -Develop scopes of work consisting of developing the integration effort, necessary hardware and software required to -Evaluate and select appropriate integration patterns, protocols (MQTT, OPC UA, API, PubSub), to meet customer requirements for real-time and batch data flows. -Capture lessons learned and share feedback with cross-functional teams to continuously improve integration strategies and solution frameworks. -Industrial data integration using protocols like MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, and APIs -Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for integrating Siemens solutions with customer environments, including cloud, on-premise, and hybrid deployments.
