Lead procurement for race team, managing suppliers, contracts, and value.

Tasks
-Sell the value oftheProcurementfunction to the wider business to drive realisation of commercial opportunities via greater engagement. -Optimise total value being delivered to the race team on time and to the required quality standard. -Support and motivate theDirect Procurement team to achieve department measures of performance. -Maintain personalhigh standardsof behaviour and conduct, beinga positive ambassador for the department. -Ensure understanding of cost cap rules and requirements. -Rationalise and developsupplier base to those that provide best value to the business. -Negotiate contracts with suppliers that provide best value to the business. -Expedite and progress deliveries from suppliers andmaintaintimelyreporting of delivery status of parts outstanding, routinely feeding back status to internal stakeholders. -Provide procurement leadership to internal stakeholders, using experience and influencing skills where needed. -Work to quality standards andidentifyand contribute waysto continuously improve department and personal performance. -Ensure that all aspects of transactional procurement of goods and services for category are achieved. -Ensure you adhere to brand rules andmaintainhigh standardsof department presentation. -Ensure understanding of and compliance with health and safety obligations. -Support and develop continuous improvement initiatives within the team. -Manage a portfolio of suppliers focusing on bothtactical and strategic development.

What You Bring
-At least 5 years procurement experience supported by CIPS qualification (desirable but not essential). -Ability toestablishrelationships internally and externally at all levels. -Ability to read engineering drawings. -Full UK driving licence. -Composite procurement experience within a motorsport or automotive background(desirable but not essential). -Proven procurement experience working within afast-changingengineering environment. -Understand and work in line with Williams Values & Behaviours, encouraging others to do the same. -Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills are essential. -Ability to react quickly and prioritise immediate operational requirements. -Ability to work using own initiative with high attention to detail.
