The Role

Overview

Design and coordinate water/wastewater pump facilities and related projects.

Tasks

-Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater treatment distribution and collection systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and work directly with the owner. -Support planning level, preliminary, and detailed designs of water/wastewater and stormwater pump facilities under instruction from the Project Engineer or person in responsible charge. -Support condition assessments and rehabilitation planning for existing pump station infrastructure. -Perform field investigations, site visits, and construction observation to ensure compliance with design documents -Perform as part of a quality assurance team and conduct quality control reviews of completed deliverables.

What You Bring

-AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience -Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field) -Water/wastewater/water resources project experience, focus on water/wastewater treatment, pump stations and pipelines, or water resources/stormwater preferred. -Microsoft Office experience -Must be able to work in a team environment -Local candidates are preferred. -Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field -Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain. -Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities
