Tasks

-Manage project financials, invoicing, and assist with AR. -Lead and manage project and project team activities. -Take an active role in developing, coaching, and mentoring staff; delegate tasks/responsibilities as appropriate; provide on-the-job training to project team members. -Assign and communicate budgets, schedules, and deadlines to project team. -Effectively delegates tasks (production and administrative) to allow for an increased focus on management tasks. -Communicates in a timely, clear, and effective manner with clients, various agencies, and other disciplines and managers. -Provide feedback of the performance of project team members. -Provide clear guidance and supervision to the project team; make critical decisions to keep the project on schedule and budget. -Promote repeat and referral business and actively seek new business opportunities. -Create and maintain positive relationships with existing clients and serve as primary contact with clients. -Create, implement, and monitor project schedules and allocate appropriate resources. -Prepare thorough project proposals, scopes, budgets, and professional service agreements.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in a relevant discipline. -Strong delegation and communication skills to coordinate the work of the project team. -8+ years of relevant engineering experience with a focus on Traffic related projects including studies, analysis, traffic signal design and modeling. -Effective client manager; leads projects with intent to generate a repeat and referral clients. -Active involvement in professional organizations such as ITE, ITS America, ASCE, and APWA is desired. -Ability to create strong relationships with existing clients and internal staff members -Experience working with HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, Corsim, Microstation/Geopak, SignCAD, and Rodel is desired. -Ability and desire to effectively lead, mentor, train, coach, and develop team members. -Ability to effectively manage project financials, schedules, and budgets. -Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and critical thinking skills. -Efficient time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and with minimal supervision to meet all deadlines. -Possess a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. PTOE Certification is preferred.
