Conduct on-site construction inspections to ensure compliance with plans

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Calculates pay quantities. -Assists in on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required. -Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications. -Recognizes, documents, and escalates field issues. -Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform rudimentary mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date. -Responsible for receiving general supervision from and assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties. -Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.

-CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection -Reads and understands plans and specifications. -CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I -High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 1 year of construction experience. -Understands Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills at an intermediate level. -CTQP Pile Driving Inspection -CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I -Understands change conditions. -PCC Paving Inspection (TC3CN004-15-T1) -All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements. -Curing, Sawing and Joint Sealing (TC3CN032-16-T1) -Diamond Grinding and Grooving (TC3MN009-15-T1) -CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I -Ability to communicates effectively. -FDOT Intermediate MOT -Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
