Material Handler

Overview

Warehouse associate handling loading, unloading, orders, and equipment.

Tasks

-Follow all Barton Supply safety procedures and PPE requirements -Pick, stage, and prep customer orders with accuracy -Support drivers, production teams, and front counter operations -Working near moving equipment -Operate forklifts, cranes, and other warehouse equipment (training provided!) -Maintain clean, organized warehouse and yard spaces -Load and unload material including rebar, hardware, and construction products -Assist with receiving, inventory, and material verification

What You Bring

-Prior warehouse, construction, steel yard, or manufacturing experience preferred -Exposure to outdoor conditions (heat, cold, wind, snow) -Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly and work indoors/outdoors in all weather -Must be safety-minded and dependable -Strong internal promotion culture -Team-oriented attitude with strong communication -Forklift experience helpful—Barton will certify you! -Fast-paced warehouse and yard setting -Basic math and measuring skills (tape measure experience a plus)
