Manage civil construction projects for airfield runway and pavement work.

Tasks
-Review contractor’s Quality Assurance Plan -Review and process Requests for Information (RFI), and contract documents including amendments, notices to proceed, change orders, modifications, and other locally generated documents developed during the course of construction -Maintain orderly working files for correspondence, minutes of meetings and conferences, payments, updated progress schedules, monthly progress reports, punch lists, field changes -Support construction contract modifications -Review and comment on the accuracy of the construction contractor’s requests for payment -Oversee construction management of on-going civil construction project for airfield runway improvements / pavement resurfacing -Perform critical path schedule review -Review and acknowledge daily reports including verification of the project schedule by indicating the activities worked on that day and the activities behind schedule -Oversee and perform three-phase inspections and surveillance of construction work to ensure the work is in accordance with the contract and specifications -Review of design, comment logging and back-checking for Design-Build projects -Monitor submittals utilizing a submittal status log

What You Bring
-Experience with construction administration and capability of handling large civil works projects -7+ years of engineering and construction management experience -US Army Corp of Engineering or other federal project experience, preferred -Experience with Resident Management System (RMS 3.0), preferred -Knowledge /experience in airfield runway improvements and/or pavement resurfacing -Experience reading construction plans and specifications -Should enjoy working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions -Bachelor of Science, required -Good written communication and organizational skills -Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
