-Participation in mechanical design of building HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems including calculations and layouts. -Performs field work (evaluation of existing sites) as directed by senior engineer. -Assists with engineering duties on projects of various complexity. -Participates and contributes to intern design project as part of an intern team of different disciplines. -Production of BIM drawings using Revit.
-Proficient in drafting with basic understanding of Revit or other drafting software, and the use of it as a drafting/design tool. -Preference for beginning mechanical engineering courses such as Thermodynamics or Statics/Dynamics along with some drafting experience. -Currently enrolled in a mechanical engineering or equivalent post-secondary program with the availability for a full-time summer internship is required. -Ability to participate and collaborate in a multi-disciplinary project team setting. -Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. Prefer experience with Revit. -Ability to take direction, follow process, and accept feedback and suggestions from senior engineers.
