The Role

Overview

Lead and manage all aspects of construction work for an architecture firm.

Tasks

-Assign workload and adjust staffing needs as required. -Provide expert knowledge of materials, assemblies, and technical detail solutions. -Collaborate with the Senior Client Relationship Manager for production services. -Oversee all firm work related to construction drawings, permitting, and entitlements. -Travel to job sites and internal meetings as needed, with project-specific travel reimbursed. -Direct and oversee Project Managers and Production Staff. -Administer contracts and prepare addenda and construction bulletins. -Review RFIs, submittals, and manage closeouts and warranty reviews.

What You Bring

-Expert knowledge of MEP/S/C/L disciplines. -Availability to travel to assist Project Managers in the field up to 2-3 times a month. -Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. -In-depth understanding of building codes and energy conservation codes. -Illinois license with self-certification certificate for the City of Chicago. -Ability to excel in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. -Experience with industrial, office, and retail new construction and interior alterations. -Experience as Director of Operations on prototypical projects is preferred. -10-15 years of experience within the architecture industry. -Capability to work independently in a remote/hybrid setting. -Licensed in Illinois, Michigan, and Minnesota with NCARB reciprocity.
