CAD Designer – Bridge

Overview

Design and draft bridge plans using CAD, mentor staff, and manage documents.

Tasks

-Actively participate in team discussions. -Document as-built revisions and adhere to file storage policies. -Maintain electronic project file organization and archives. -Assist in the development of bridge plans (structural and civil) including general layouts, foundation plans, concrete details, steel details, cross sections, reinforcing details, utility plans, and exhibits. -Prepare 2D bridge layout models (references) and sheets (contract documents). -Adhere to TYLin’s production practices and the client CAD standards. -Conduct red-line changes to contract drawings. -Interpret design information from existing plans, sketches, redlines, and visualizations to create detailed bridge plans. -Consult and understand design manuals, local and international codes, agency standards and procedures.

What You Bring

-Technical degree in engineering technology from an accredited technical institution is preferred. -Experience following client standards. -Proficient in the use of MicroStation CE, Autodesk a plus in an engineering environment, specifically associated with the production of bridge structural and civil plans. -Extensive familiarity with the DPWH bridge detailing procedures. -Ability to perform quantity calculations. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -BIM, ORD, OBM 3D Modeling experience preferred. -At least 5+ years of relevant experience in Civil/Structural Drafting. -Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, Acrobat/Bluebeam, and other engineering production software is recommended. -Ability to prioritize organize assigned tasks.
