Overview

Design and manage HVAC systems for hazardous areas in oil & gas EPC projects

Tasks

-Design HVAC systems for classified (hazardous) and non-classified areas in line with API, ASHRAE, ISO, and project-specific standards. -Integrate HVAC systems with gas detection, fire detection, and emergency shutdown systems. -Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, calculations, and HVAC layouts. -Develop ventilation, pressurization, and air filtration systems for areas exposed to hazardous gases. -Support vendor selection, review, and technical bid evaluations. -Coordinate with safety, electrical, process, and instrumentation teams for effective system integration. -Ensure HVAC systems support emergency conditions (e.g., evacuation, fire, smoke control).

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. -Familiar with codes and standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, API, and IEC. -Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC design for oil & gas (onshore/offshore) EPC projects. -Strong teamwork, communication, and coordination skills. -Strong knowledge of HVAC design for hazardous environments and safety-critical facilities. -Experience with HVAC simulation tools and 3D model coordination is a plus.
