Manage and develop national housing portfolios, overseeing technical details and compliance.

Tasks

-Manage and comply with the process and procedures contained within the Taylor Wimpey Operating Framework. -Arrange, co-ordinate and manage meetings with other departments in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring all relevant action points are noted, recorded and delivered. -Manage and implement the Taylor Wimpey CDM/EMS process and procedure, identifying foreseeable risks in designs and taking action to remove risk, in line with company policy. -Provide the business with technical and design feedback support on product, construction detailing and specifications and obtain and maintain national NHBC type approvals. -Implement and maintain a Quality Management Process to ensure information meets the high-quality expectations of our business, partners and customers. -Manage business support systems and consultant management workflow. -Ensure all key performance Indicator targets are reached across all areas of the department in line with business aspirations. -Deliver technical information in a consistent format across our product portfolios and drive the evolution of existing and development of new group product. -Provide the primary communication channel between the team, other internal departments and external parties. -Manage and work closely with our supply chain partners and manufacturers/suppliers on design and technical development and solutions. -Manage, and support the coordination and development of our working drawings, product information packages and construction details. -Liaise, negotiate and manage our internal and external stakeholders, consultants etc. to ensure our product achieves set objectives and programmes. -Prepare and maintain drawing and delivery programmes and documents for the monitoring of progress and for use in reporting to the management team. -Provide knowledge/expertise to react to changes in legislation as dictated by industry standards of Building Control, NHBC, planning etc. -Manage site and manufacturer/supplier visits to review, maintain and continuously improve our product.

What You Bring

-Previous Technical experience within a development organisation -Solid experience (5 years minimum) in running projects from the concept stage through to completion. -Ability to create and manage programmes -Previous experience managing multiple consultants -Professional Qualification and relevant membership to a professional body (e.g. RICS, RTPI, RIBA, ICE) -Experienced AutoCAD user -Strong knowledge of the full development/technical process
