Tasks

The Project Manager / Estimator will serve as the liaison between Air Comfort and their customers. Their core priority is selling and managing Plan and Specification projects and developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors and coworkers. -Review Plans and Specifications for completeness and prepare RFI’s for additional information as required. -Prepare permit drawings as required. -Manage project close-out documentation, including: as-built drawings, warranty letters, start-up reports, balancing reports, IOM’s, etc. -Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors for favorable pricing. -Prepare project scopes and procure quotations from vendors and subcontractors. -Continually update sheet meal and piping estimating software to ensure accurate material costs. -Develop project schedules. -Estimating piping and sheet metal construction projects. -Assist in resolution of problems that arise during construction projects. -Utilize Dropbox to maintain organized job files for field personnel. -Stay abreast of current technology and construction methods in an effort to continually improve production and quality. -Prepare Design/Build proposals as required. -Prepare shop and as-built CAD drawings for construction projects as required. -Order equipment and materials; issue purchase orders to vendors and subcontractors. -Perform postmortem analysis on completed projects, comparing estimated costs to actual costs incurred. -Serve as Project Manager for construction projects sold. -Ongoing job tracking of projects in progress. -Obtain installation permits as required.
