The Role

Overview

Assist with accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, payments, and financial analysis.

Tasks

-Working with our suppliers across our more than 50 group companies to make sure we process our invoices according to company policy and pay our bills on time. Work closely with the business development teams to on-board new suppliers and with the teams delivering and operating our assets. -Working directly with the Accounts Payable Manager and wider Finance Team to assist with the monthly close process, including managing accruals. -Analysis and review of payables data to help decision making, and receivables data to ensure timely cash collection from customers. -Actively contribute to Zenobe's commitment to health and safety, wellbeing and sustainability by; integrating these principles into daily responsibilities, ensuring a safe and supportive work environment, promoting both the physical and mental health of self and colleagues, and adopting sustainable and energy-efficient practices to minimize environmental impact. By doing so, each employee at Zenobe plays a vital role in fostering a culture that prioritises overall safety, holistic wellbeing, environmental sustainability in our business operations. -Support the AR Manager with credit control, chasing overdue invoices. Build good relationships with the Accounts Payable teams of our customers to head off issues before they arise. -Ad-hoc work for various internal stakeholders where required -Assist with administering payment related tax – Construction Industry Scheme and Value Added Tax in particular. -Preparation of weekly payments runs, ensuring this is reviewed and payments are accurate and made in a timely manner. -Providing real time financial information to various internal and external stakeholders to support global projects. In particular, supporting the effort of the finance team to increase automation within the AP and AR functions. -Assist with auditing expense claims that are submitted to ensure they are in line with company policy -Support the timely recording and release of our sales invoices, ensuring they reflect the reality of underlying contracts and are released in accordance with commercial team expectations. Support ad-hoc invoicing as required, particular for our construction projects. -Supplier statement reconciliations and Payables Ledger maintenance.

What You Bring

-There are no specific academic requirements for the role and we welcome applications from all backgrounds. However, relevant experience in a fast moving accounts department (preferably with an international element) would be highly desirable, as would relevant experience with an accounting package (even better if it is SAP) -Excellent attention to detail -Ability to adapt to a fast paced and ever changing environment -Basic experience using Microsoft office packages – Excel / Word / Powerpoint -Self-starter, with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work with others to get the job done. -Ability to work well in a team as well independently
