Assist senior QS in cost, contracts, budgets for renewable energy projects.

Tasks
-Tendering and Procurement: Support the tendering process, including preparing and reviewing tender documents, and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate terms. -Cost Management: Assist in the preparation and management of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for renewable energy projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. -Risk Management: Help identify project risks, including cost-related risks, and work with the project team to implement strategies to mitigate these risks. -Contract Administration: Assist in managing contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms, and identifying and addressing any issues that arise during the contract lifecycle. -Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports on costs, budgets, and financial performance to senior management and stakeholders. -Project Monitoring: Monitor and track project costs, expenditures, and cash flow, ensuring that any variations or discrepancies are identified and addressed promptly. -Learning & Development: Participate in professional development activities, including attending relevant training and working towards chartered status with a recognised professional body (e.g., RICS). -Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that financial and contractual aspects of the projects are aligned with the overall objectives.

What You Bring
-A degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. -Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. -Knowledge or interest in the renewable energy sector, particularly within the areas of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical infrastructure. -Strong analytical and numerical skills with an attention to detail. -Any previous work experience or internships in quantity surveying or construction. -Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing project finances. -A basic understanding of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, and project management. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience with quantity surveying software is a plus.
