Tasks

-Use computer programs to model and solve engineering problems. -Creates design calculations, sketches, plan details, and project reports meeting industry standards. -Perform analysis and design of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structures under the supervision of experienced engineers. -Complete work assignments within budget and schedule. -Visit job sites and inspect in-service structures. -Maintain technical learning on the route to obtain professional licenses.

What You Bring

-Develop strong organizational, technical, and communication skills. -Knowledge of basic ACI, AISC, and ASCE design codes and specifications. -Proficient with MS Office suite programs Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. -Previous internship experience -Passed FE exam -Master’s degree in structural engineering -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field. -Build knowledge of transportation project development and delivery. -Knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation. -Knowledge of AASHTO design specifications and DOT practice
