Water Hygiene Engineer

Overview

Perform plumbing maintenance and water hygiene tasks in commercial properties.

Tasks

-Carry out Weekly/Daily Flushing -Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and service reports. -Perform basic plumbing reactive maintenance tasks including repairing/replacing taps and valves, unblocking sinks, toilets and drains, and repairing leaks -Conduct risk assessments and inspections of water systems, including cold water tanks, pipework -Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE -Provide excellent customer service when working in occupied rooms/areas. -Carry out 6 monthly Thermostatic Mixing Valve servicing -Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are used safely and stored correctly. -Carry out weekly sampling for laboratory testing -Stay current with industry standards, codes, and regulations, ensuring compliance in all activities. -Complete Quarterly descaling of shower heads and hoses, across the whole wing -Assist senior engineers with more complex installations and repairs

What You Bring

-Basic knowledge of plumbing systems and maintenance techniques -Ability to use common plumbing tools and equipment -Previous experience in plumbing or a related maintenance trade -Familiarity with relevant guidelines and standards, such as ACOP L8, and HTM04-01.
