Overview
Lead survey crew, operate Trimble equipment, manage field surveys for power/renewable projects.

Tasks
-Review survey field calculations and adjust when needed. -Prepare accurate field notes and complete as-built drawings. -Follow Atwell’s safety protocols. -Work independently as a one-person crew or collaborate with a survey crew member. -Set up, adjust, and operate Trimble survey equipment including total station, data collector, and GPS equipment. -Locate or establish vertical and horizontal control. -Utilize Trimble equipment to locate existing features/utilities. -Perform survey activities such as leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, and profile and cross-section surveys. -Responsible for maintaining work-issued vehicle, laptop, and survey equipment. -Ensure product quality by following Atwell, client, local, and state policies, best practices, and standards. -Attend paid training and development event opportunities. -Measure distances, angles, and elevations for staking purposes. -As a subject matter expert and mentor to survey crew members, you may be asked to assist with your crew member's new hire training plan, career planning, and continuous professional development at Atwell.

What You Bring
-Experience with Trimble equipment (preferred). -At least 10 years of experience in a Survey Crew Chief role. -Commute to and from sites daily in a company-provided truck. -Ability to effectively communicate with contractors, inspectors, and team leaders. -Ability to read and interpret engineering plans. -Available for occasional overnight travel (preferred).
