- Monitor the Contractor for compliance with the Safety Health & Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations

- Have a good knowledge & experience of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
- Hold a clean driving licence
- Attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Public Works and FIDIC form of contract
- Level 8 degree in Engineering
- Track record of leading or working in site supervision teams
- Detailed understanding of Health & Safety legislation and regulations
- Ability to devise new approaches to problems encountered
- Works well as part of a team.
- Hold current Safepass, Managing safely in construction and manual handling.
- Written – excellent report writing.
- Problem solver
- Computer skills - MS Office Suite (advanced user of MS Excel preferred).
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations
- Contractor design review experience beneficial
- Team Player with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), team working skills and analytical skills
- 7+ years of relevant post graduate experience in engineering including site works supervision and monitoring of safe working practices. Ideally this will include water sector projects. Experience of pipeline treatment plant work will be an advantage.
- Ability to lead and motivate themselves and others; willingly takes ownership of issues and seeks team participation to achieve best solution
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a diverse multi-disciplinary team with excellent people management skills.
- Verbal – excellent communications skills.
