The Role
Overview
Manage and supervise medium/large electrical substation construction projects.

Tasks
-Establish high-quality work practices, and monitor working conditions -Assist with the electrical work when needed -Review project schedule weekly and note any delays, changes or deficiencies to Project Management team -Plan, coordinate, and supervise the work of skilled journey-level workers -Generate progress reports, and relay information to the Superintendent -Review job specifications, building and safety codes, and project timelines -Work a minimum of 40 hours a week on a regular basis. -Conduct data collection and complete all paperwork in a timely manner -Produce and prepare sketches, operational diagrams, and layout drawings for projects -Work with the entire team to look for solutions to problems, and mentor crew Foreman to do the same -Liaise with customers, suppliers and third parties as necessary -Manage contract documents and specifications for projects -Conduct regular inspections to ensure all the required supplies, materials and equipment are available and working as intended -Report all accidents, injuries, near misses to the Safety Department -Ensure all work meets local, state, and federal codes -Obtain all of the necessary licenses, permits, and materials for the job -Ensure job quality, and identify potential safety risks -Install, repair and maintain electrical systems, conductors, power lines and electrical equipment -Stay up-to-date on current safety protocols and updates -Oversee the planning and execution of medium/large electrical substation projects, and supervise the overall progress

What You Bring
-Successful prior experience supervising crews and completing electrical substation projects -Ability to read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, blueprints, schematics, and written instructions for projects -AED Preferred (given upon hire) -Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate others -Electrical Journeyman License -Knowledge and understanding of electrical plans and proper electrical wiring procedures -First Aid -Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task -Great operational planning and time management skills -Trade School Certification -5+ Years Supervisory/Foreman Experience -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Proficiency in the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, test equipment, and precision measuring -Knowledge of safety measures and best practices for a safe work environment -Associates Degree OR -Substation construction related to Solar, Wind or Data Centers -Valid Driver’s License -1-5 Years Supervisory/Foreman Experience -General computer skills (email, Microsoft Office) -Minimum 10 Years’ Experience in Electrical Substation Construction -Previous Experience as an Electrician, Apprentice Electrician or Journeyman Electrician -High School Diploma or Equivalent
