Manage weekly & monthly payroll, data entry, queries, and compliance.

Tasks

-Collate and prepare time and attendance data for payroll on Excel using Vlook ups to meet payroll deadlines. -Actively involved in all aspects of administering and processing 3x weekly and 2x monthly payrolls. -Assist the team in data manipulation and data upload of payroll input data received from various areas of the business -Maintain an Excel spreadsheet and calculate sick pay for employees. -Delivery of all payroll activities as assigned and always ensuring a high level of accuracy. -Assist in preparing the Weekly/Monthly payroll and liaising with all levels of employees. -Maintain an Excel spreadsheet and calculate holiday pay for hourly employees. -Dealing with all payroll queries from employees. -Comply with Payroll timetables and policies.

What You Bring

-Experience of using various payroll systems and ability to adapt and learn new systems -Experienced with Payroll & Pension Reconciliations -Payroll knowledge on current payroll legislation i.e. SSP, SMP, SPP, NIC and Attachment of Earnings Order. -Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels. -Proven track record of delivering payroll and continually improving payroll processes which is manual and Excel-based. -Be process-oriented, service-driven, work well as part of the team. -Able to manipulate and upload large amount of data on Excel received from various sources with high accuracy. -Confident in manual processing of payroll from start to finish. -Numerical competency in data entry and data conversion. -Clear and logical thinking and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and deliver strong results. -Strong numerical competency with the ability to do manual calculations independently. -Payroll experience in UK payroll both weekly & monthly. -BIK experience, processing P11d’s and payrolling Benefits. -Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with particular focus on having intermediate excel skills of Vlookups, Pivots. -Knowledge of processing payroll in construction industry. -Knowledge of ITrent, ePayfact & Business Objects desirable, but not essential. -Enjoy working on a large volume, busy payroll.
