The Role

Overview

Deliver and develop electricity distribution fitting training to apprentices and staff.

Tasks

-Uphold Health & Safety and Safeguarding responsibilities for learners. -Conduct observations to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements. -Stay updated on the latest technical and safety bulletins to enhance safety training. -Collaborate with technical experts and relevant departments to ensure training meets necessary standards. -Support the maintenance of training products, ensuring compliance with internal quality assurance processes. -Work with the Design and Innovation Team to drive improvements and develop new training products. -Deliver engaging training in both classroom and workshop environments. -Complete accurate course reports and assessments documentation. -Conduct safety walks for areas of responsibility. -Review lesson plans and presentations to ensure high-quality delivery. -Utilize your experience to design and develop technical and safety training that meets customer requirements. -Assess individuals performing practical activities to ensure they meet qualification standards. -Maintain training centre facilities and equipment, ensuring everything is in top condition.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with Safeguarding or working with young adults is desirable, but training will be provided. -Recognised Level 3 Engineering Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent Electrical Engineering Qualification (ONC/HNC). -Excellent communication, time management, and planning skills. -Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft PowerPoint. -NEBOSH certificate/diploma or equivalent safety qualifications is advantageous. -Previous training experience or knowledge of coaching others is a plus. -Experience in managing teams or work activities is desirable. -Extensive experience in maintaining Distribution plant and equipment, Power network or Subsations. -Strong understanding of Distribution Safety Rules and associated policies.
