Soil and construction materials lab technician/manager handling testing, QA, and accreditation.

Tasks

Responsibilities will include assisting with obtaining and maintaining AASHTO (AMRL & CCRL) / USACE / Hawaii DOT accreditations, documenting test results, maintaining a clean and organized work area, strict adherence to safety protocols and quality control procedures, and assisting project managers and engineers with assignments. Dependent on lab workload, some field special inspection may be required.

What You Bring

Preferred experience should include laboratory and field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, other construction materials, and mix design processes in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and State procedures. Current laboratory certifications and ability to achieve additional concrete and soil laboratory certifications are a bonus. -ACI Masonry Testing Technician (Field and Laboratory) -Other certifications in: Field Testing, Soils / Aggregate Testing, Asphalt Concrete Testing, and Masonry Testing -Strong written and verbal communication skills -Must pass background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Certerra’s driving policy -ACI Aggregate Testing Technician – Level I or II -Ability to lift materials and equipment up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for long periods of time -Valid driver’s license -High School Diploma, or equivalent, at a minimum. An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field, is a plus -ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician -ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I -Attention to detail -Preferred minimum one year of experience in geotechnical or construction materials laboratory testing -NICET Soils Level I or II
