The Role
Overview
Develops and oversees project safety plans, inspections, training, and regulatory compliance.

Tasks
-Lead the development and execution of project-specific safety plans, including emergency action plans and hazard assessments. -Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations; develop corrective actions and detailed reports. -Climb Ladders up to 40’ -Ensure availability and proper use of PPE, first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, spill kits, and other safety equipment. -Use of PPE Harness system as required by OSHA as needed to access and inspect the work. -Support the coordination of CCIP (Contractor Controlled Insurance Program) compliance and loss prevention efforts. -Facilitate safety orientations, toolbox talks, and stand-downs for all site personnel. -Conduct daily safety observations, weekly inspections, and monthly audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. -Participate in pre-construction meetings and risk assessments for high-hazard activities. -Walking steep slopes or rough, uneven ground including on soil, stone, rock, mud etc. -Maintain safety documentation including inspection logs, training records, and regulatory postings. -Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and corporate safety leadership. -Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to integrate safety into planning and execution. -Accessing excavations by stepping into the excavation or via ladder as needed.

What You Bring
-Ability to walk open floors or roofs -Must be able to lift, carry or otherwise move or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds. -Walk and to access all areas of the jobsite/project multiple times daily which may require. -The employee is regularly required to be mobile, and the employee occasionally may travel both short and long distances via a variety of conveyances. -Climbing temporary stair systems or walking scaffolding systems. -Frequent talking and the ability to express and exchange ideas by means of language. -Regular hearing and the ability to perceive the nature of sounds. -Must be capable of working in a variety of physical positions which include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, walking, and driving. -The employee frequently views a computer monitor and frequently uses a computer keyboard, iPad, touch screens and the like -Climbing stairs up to 5 stories -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
