The Role

Overview

Design and manage structural components for heavy industrial facilities.

Tasks

-Review drawings and models for accuracy. -This position does not have any regular responsibility for overseeing or supervising the work of other team members. -Write structural analysis reports. -Create bills of material (BOMs). -Create contractor bid packages. -Perform site layout. -Execute structural calculations. -Write specifications (pre-engineered metal buildings, Geotech, etc.) -Coordinate with Structural AutoCAD designers to create facility 3D models and construction drawings. -Review shop drawings. -Coordinate with other discipline engineers and designers. -Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality. -Answer RFIs from contractors. -Create contractor scopes of work. -Review vendor drawings.
