The Role
Overview
Design, develop, and qualify repairs for LM2500, LM6000, and LMS100 gas turbine components.

Tasks
-Support repair process qualifications and work with engineering partners to support repair standardization and industrialization. -Act as the technical focal point for the disposition of component repair Departure Records (DRs) related to your assigned components. -Support engineering and business partners to ensure that newly developed repair processes, procedures, limits, etc. are properly incorporated into appropriate shop, vendor, and engineering manuals & documents. -Participate as a presenter in technical and/or program reviews. -Develop and industrialize Aero Gas Turbine component repairs. -Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects/tasks in line with engineering policies and procedures. -Develop repair procedures and inspection methods. -Provide oversight and direction for the creation of component CAD models, drawings, and specifications for gas turbine components. -Design analysis and evaluation of assigned engine components to ensure their operational life and substantiate the define repairability limits.

What You Bring
-Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering field of study from an accredited college or university. -Gas turbine design knowledge/background. -The role may require travel up to 20% to internal and external repair vendor sites -Strong interpersonal and collaborative team skills. Ability to connect effectively with a broad group of stakeholders. -Experience with inspection technologies, including FPI, X-Ray, and Eddy Current. -Solid oral and written communication skills. -Experience with repair special processes, including welding, brazing, thermal spray, heat treat, machining, blending, coating, and surface treatments. -Minimum of 2 years of experience working in, with, and/or supporting a manufacturing, Services, repair, or design environment -Strong mechanical design and analytical background
