Tasks

-Manages the company contract management system throughout the contract lifecycle. Ensures that all contracts are approved internally prior to execution in accordance with CoreCivic contracting policy. -Collaborates with facility and FSC departments to address and manage potential vendor contract disputes as needed. -Maintains professional competency through continuing legal education and educational seminars, including those relative to company's industry and vendor contracts. -Serves as the primary legal department liaison and collaborates with facility and FSC staff for the procurement of equipment, goods and services. -Manages the contract renewal process, including renewal of licenses and support agreements. -Reviews and negotiates all vendor contracts for the procurement of equipment, goods and services companywide. Ensures compliance with company policy, procedures and within legal and regulatory standards. -Provides legal advice on statutory and other legal requirements to Facility Support Center and facility staff as needed regarding contract issues. -Identifies and communicates business risks related to vendor contracts. Assists with formulating resolutions to meet the mission critical needs of the company.

What You Bring

-Three years of contract or other transactional experience is required. -Ability to work in a team environment at a fast pace, multitask and prioritize. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. -Knowledge of government procurements preferred. -Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Juris Doctor degree and authorization to practice law in Tennessee. -Strong analytical and negotiating skills as well as verbal and written communication skills are required. -Domestic U.S. travel may be required
