The Role
Overview
Manages admin, accounting, and inventory functions for a distribution branch.

Tasks
-Leads team; selects/hires; develops objectives; coaches and evaluates performance. -Holds direct reports accountable for individual and team performance. -May manage a small group of employees directly and/or has significant indirect responsibilities in getting work done through others. -Addresses performance issues appropriately and timely. -Manages the administrative functions of a distribution center by providing excellent customer service, ensuring data integrity and timely processing of transactions. -Collaborate with and foster a good working relationship with Sales and Operations teams. -Reviews all stock received, purchase orders and computer reports for accuracy. -Accounts Receivable – Partner with Credit and A/R for setup of new accounts and managing past due accounts. -Ensures direct reports obtain applicable training and development opportunities to enhance performance, development, and contributions to the company. -Accounts Payable – Ensure adherence to expense Chart of Authority, timely completion of A/P reconciliation, daily invoicing for warehouse inventory and direct billing. -Associate onboarding, time approval, and central point of contact for communications. -Works with branch sales team to ensure orders are processed and released. -Timely and accurate processing of sales orders, credit memos, PO transactions utilizing relevant resources in A/R as needed. -Coordinates with Operations management on all rail and truck shipments. -Contributes to development of an operating plan and budget. May manage parts of budget.

What You Bring
-Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task. -Customer Centric -6-8 years experience preferred; -Strong problem analysis/ resolution, organization, time management, communication and interpersonal skills. -Inventory – accuracy of inventory related data in Agility from receiving to cycle counts to inventory adjustments. -Strong knowledge of finance and accounting transactions in a warehousing environment / distribution center. -Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite Software and relevant tools / technology. -Prefer process improvement and operating efficiency knowledge. -Ability to build consensus and be appropriately diplomatic, understands others’ roles and perspectives, can sell projects and ideas externally and across the organization. Influences others by presenting a strong case. Builds cross-functional relationships to build consensus and create results. -Associates degree in Accounting or related field. BS / BA Degree in related field preferred. -Strong knowledge and experience in inventory control, material/stock handling/storage, and building products.
