Tasks

Promote Quality Assurance/Quality Control; work with business class and regional leadership to assist the local programs with key technical expertise to support marketing and project activities. Work with the business class directors and practice groups to drive technical excellence and coordinate technical staff to support the program and marketing efforts. Monitor market sector performance indicators Net Fees Earned/Net Fees Booked/profits/positive equity/AR/losses/investments. Work with regional business group leadership to implement process improvements and leverage work sharing to meet or exceed planned goals. Business Development Responsibilities – The position will be the responsible for assessing the Region’s marketplace and determining the best business approach to win and secure contracts. Business development efforts will need to work cross-sector with other market sectors as well as other market sectors in other business groups. As Regional Market Sector Leader you will serve as overall lead across the Northeast Region (See list of US states that compose the region below) by setting vision and direction for implementation of firm’s strategy to expand and provide aviation services to current and potential Aviation Market Sector Clients. In addition, will facilitate development and implementation of Aviation Market Sector business strategies and operating plans across the firm in coordination with Aviation market sector leadership, area business group leadership, area operational leadership, client managers and business class directors. Establish relationships with NE Aviation clients The Northeast Region Aviation Market Sector Lead will have a focus on client management and development, serving as a client manager and project manager for future assignments and pursuits with key clients in the area. This individual will be expected to identify and develop project opportunities, serve as a pursuit champion, and act as a resource for HDR pursuits. Duties will also include planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of large multi-discipline projects or medium-sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity. Work with the Region Business Group Directors and Area Management teams to coordinate staffing/recruiting plans for key hires and assist local leadership as necessary with local hires. Identify resource gaps and support talent management and recruiting. Support to Operations – The position will assist the Regional Business Group Director and Area Business Group managers to deliver services within the market sector. Key responsibilities consist of helping to drive client management, monitoring and taking action regarding market sector profit and loss, ensuring project delivery and supporting the QA/QC program. Staff Development Responsibilities – The position will seek opportunities to enhance our practices so that we will best perform within the marketplace to win new work and to provide opportunities for staff growth and development. They will also lead and/or assist with the identification and recruitment of prospective future market sector employees. -Promote Quality Assurance/Quality Control; work with business class and regional leadership to assist the local programs with key technical expertise to support marketing and project activities. -Assume responsibility for coordination with the Region’s Areas and support of worksharing among departments. -Monitor market sector performance indicators Net Fees Earned/Net Fees Booked/profits/positive equity/AR/losses/investments. Work with regional business group leadership to implement process improvements and leverage work sharing to meet or exceed planned goals. -Identify key investments (acquisitions and technology) that will maintain or drive HDR into industry leadership positions. -Promote the marketing and delivery of all HDR services to clients while working with our client managers -Develop relationships with senior leadership in key client organizations. -Work with the Region Business Group Directors and Area Management teams to coordinate staffing/recruiting plans for key hires and assist local leadership as necessary with local hires. Identify resource gaps and support talent management and recruiting. -Facilitate development and dissemination of “lessons learned.” -If an engineer, maintain engineering registration. -Work with the client development leaders to drive client development and pursuit processes based on proven capture techniques. -Lead from the Market Sector perspective, the annual planning process which includes development of materials for Trends & Drivers and Alignment processes. -Take on Project Management Assignments that make sense for this leadership role. -Participate in industry associations and serve as a company rolemodel in business and community organizations at local, area and national levels. -Serve as the Client Manager for selected key clients within the area,and be active and visible in the industry. -Help develop and set Aviation Market Sector Strategy for HDR. -Assist with contract review on key projects to help ensure risk management, proper staffing, quality reviews and resolution of claims. -Work with Regional Business Group Managers on development and delivery of area and market sector initiatives. -Facilitate cooperation and eliminate hurdles and barriers to success. -Develop relationships with industry counterparts in other consulting organizations. -Support selected pursuits through client relationship development and/or through development of strategy and participation in pursuit activities. -Work with the business class directors and practice groups to drive technical excellence and coordinate technical staff to support the program and marketing efforts. -Establish relationships with NE Aviation clients -Be aware of staff workload and facilitate work sharing within the market sector; promote effective use of company resources and assist in applying key staff/expertise to projects. -Lead the Region in identifying needs and opportunities for new and improved technical services and products to maximize the depth, effectiveness and efficiency of the practice.
