Tasks

The role of Senior Architectural Technician will be to support the Architectural Manager / Head of Technical and the wider business including our Construction, Commercial and Sales teams in the execution of construction projects through ongoing support and timely delivery of accurate architectural and technical information. -Maintain up to date with legislation and regulations as well as understanding future regulations that are coming into effect within the industry. -Support the Architectural Manager in managerial issues and reporting where required. -Support the upkeep of our Drawing Management system. -Support, mentor and manage Trainee and Graduate Technicians. -Attend and chair (if applicable) site-based meetings / audits as and when required. -Support site teams and colleagues with information requests. -Work alongside external consultants and suppliers to ensure complete design solution delivered in line with company standards. -Keep up to date with CDM and CPD responsibilities specific to the role. -Development & maintenance of divisional details and specifications including production of working pack drawings.

What You Bring

-Office based role with regular travel to development sites and for meetings. -Ability to be able to express technical information in a clear and concise manner. -Methodical, conscientious, organised and works to deliver high standards. -Experience of working with Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD is desirable. -Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems. -Qualified to degree level or HNC/HND in a Construction / Architectural Technology subject with relevant experience. -Knowledge of building regulations and current NHBC standards. -Current full UK driving licence. -CSCS card or equivalent. -Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. -Extensive experience working at a senior level within the housebuilding industry in a technical / architectural function, running numerous projects simultaneously. -Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team. -Strong communication, listening, presentation skills and excellent attention to detail. -Ability to problem solve and delegate effectively. -Ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner. -Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
