Tasks

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, managing the month-end close process, and maintaining strict controls over highly sensitive financial data. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements while supporting leadership with accurate financial reporting and analysis. -Support external audits and work closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation. -Prepare and review financial statements and internal management reports. -Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee information, compensation changes, and benefits deductions. -Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. -Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analyses. -Resolve payroll-related questions, discrepancies, and audits. -Maintain payroll records, tax filings, and employee data with the highest level of confidentiality. -Maintain accurate and complete accounting records in accordance with GAAP.

What You Bring

-Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. -Strong knowledge of GAAP and payroll regulations. -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). -Experience with accounting and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks). -Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and data integrity. -Experience managing or supervising accounting staff is a plus. -5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including payroll oversight.
