The Role

Overview

Assist with construction project accounting tasks, invoicing, reporting, and compliance.

Tasks

-Will lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and reach. -Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and accountants on project financial needs -Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as requested by the accounting team -Sit, stand, and walk during the duration of the workday -Help maintain accurate project financial records in the accounting system -Track subcontractor compliance, including lien waivers, insurance certificates, and contracts -Perform data entry, reconciliations, and document organization -Assist with processing and reviewing project invoices, pay applications, and change orders -Support the preparation of monthly project cost reports and budget-to-actual analysis -Assist with job cost coding, purchase orders, and expense tracking

What You Bring

-Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks -Hands-on experience with cost tracking, project reporting, and compliance -Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times -Current student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, or related field -Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills -Must comply with all safety standards and procedures -Insight into the intersection of finance and construction project management -Must wear proper PPE while on jobsites. -Exposure to construction industry project accounting practices -Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications; exposure to accounting or project management software is a plus -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
