The Role

Overview

Greet guests, manage pool services, ensure cleanliness and safety at the resort pool.

Tasks

-Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. -Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. -Ensure uniform and personal appearance are well kept and professional. -Check in with Host to review all cabana and chair reservations for the day. -Clean and maintain pool area continuously. Pick up and drop off linens to/from linen area. -Set tables according to service standards. -Verify guest room numbers to ensure only hotel guests are utilizing the pool areas. -Answer questions on menu selections to guests. -Be aware of situations where guests cannot safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager. -Participate in ongoing training and encourage the pers onal development of all associates/coworkers. -Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. -Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. -Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals. -Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with guest pool experience. -Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures. -Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day -Anticipate and address guests` service needs. -Ensure adequate supply of linen and amenities. -Set up all daybeds and cabanas -Adhere to departmental policies and procedures. -Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front of the house employees -Greet guests and assist with their arrival: provide an overview of pool area and service, offer towels and escort to seating area. -Complete opening and closing duties, including restocking items, organizing towels and all pool attendant supplies. -Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area and the general property. -Run food and bus tables to ensure a flawless service.

What You Bring

-Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. -Ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through legible writing, always in a professional way toward guests and associates. -Practice effective listening: (seek to understand) -Ability to observe pool activities closely, identifying any potential hazards or safety concerns, and taking prompt action to address them. -Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic in challenging outdoor conditions. -High School Diploma/GED -All side-work completed thoroughly and done in a timely fashion. -Previous experience working outdoors in diverse weather conditions preferred. -Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. -Speak with others using clear and professional language.
