The Role

Overview

Manages storage, movement, loading/unloading, inventory, and material handling equipment.

Tasks

-Contributes to the orderly operation of the stock and/or materials storage area. -Keeps inventory, loading areas, and materials. -Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product. -Loading and Unloading: They load and unload trucks, ensuring that materials are transported efficiently to and from storage areas. -Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. -Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. -Ensure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product for final distribution. -Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks. -Documents materials and records units delivered and the location of units. -Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording the location of inventory, and reporting shortages. -Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies. -Documents product shipment by recording units shipped. -Locates and packs materials for shipping. -Storing and moving materials: They manage the storage, movement, and handling within a warehouse. -Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities.

-Good Communication Skills -Computer Savvy, able to generate reports, and do data entry -Electrical parts and tools knowledge required -Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus -Forklift operator experience required
