Handle commissary inventory, orders, and delivery for detainee population

Tasks

-Fills and delivers orders. -Ensures compliance with standard operating with all standard and safety procedures. -Distributes commissary orders to the detainee population as required. -Ordering commodities and filling detainee orders. -Keep records of outgoing orders, requisitions additional stock and reports short supplies to supervisor. -Pulls stock from shelves and readies for delivery. -Calculating and verifying charges. -Verifying order accuracy, inspecting the quality of goods, and maintaining records for detainee commissary orders. -Providing assorted items to detainees from an approved commissary list. -Lulls in workload are used to maintain a clean and orderly work area and to ensure clerical tasks are up to date. Keeps up to date on departmental and facility safety standards and local codes and policies. -Ensures appropriate levels of approved commissary items are stocked, inventoried and available for purchase. -Maintains accurate records of filled and/or omitted orders. -Inputs data into computer, keeps records and submits reports to supervisor. -Stocking, straightening, taking inventory of merchandise, and handling returns. -Issuing commissary credits and ensuring controlled items are properly secured.

What You Bring

-A high school diploma or GED is required. -Must be able to follow Standard Codes of Conduct pertaining to interaction with detainee population. -Bilingual strongly preferred. -Must display good inter/intra communication skills with employees and department heads. -Experience in sales is preferred. -Must be a US citizen or a permanent resident for five years. -Strong computer skills required. -Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to pass extensive background investigation and drug testing. Random drug testing will be performed. Work areas may include all areas of the facility. May be exposed to industrial chemicals and solvents. Will interact with the detained population. May lift or push up to 50 lbs. For extended periods of time may be required to stand, walk, squat, kneel, sit, bend, reach and climb. Work may involve using ladders and lifts.
