Responsible for Transformer service activities, including installation and commissioning, carrying out refurbishments, device replacements, routine maintenance, inspections, and identifying problems to assist with providing analysis for recommendations.
Maintain project site documentation and checklists, prepare reports, and help to resolve any issues on site. You’ll provide feedback to assist with identifying and recommending effective new solutions to help meet business and/or customer needs.
You’ll be playing a key role within a team of knowledgeable and experienced engineers/technicians undertaking and coordinating service activities on site, whilst keeping a close eye on health and safety and quality standards, schedules, and progress reporting to ensure customer satisfaction.
Travel throughout the UK with opportunities for offshore working.
Apply all safety rules and follow safe practices, as well as keep environmental responsibilities in mind. But you’ll also assess and highlight hazards and implement actions to ensure the safety of both people and equipment.

Experience in leading a team/management of subcontractors,
Experience within the Transformers or the power sector (installation/service/maintenance) and/or a broad knowledge of power engineering plant and equipment, i.e. Transformers.
Proven experience with Mechanical installations, Switchgear, Cabling/wiring installation, Oil handling/processing/sampling, device function checks and power equipment testing instruments, Omicron/Megger etc.
Full driving licence
Suitable qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, CCNSG, though training will be provided
Able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
You have excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Electrical Engineering-related HNC, apprenticeship scheme or suitable industry experience.
Able to work well using your own initiative, you’re also a team player who’ll collaborate and communicate well to achieve successful outcomes.
You have a systematic approach, a positive mindset and are keen to learn and develop.
